The Ordinary Business Summit LIVE

The best thing that’s ever happened to your business might just be the person sitting next to you.

Sep. 12, 2026 • 9am–5pm • Atlanta, GA Get your ticket for $199 →

Every event worth remembering comes down to the same thing: the people.

Instead of half-listening to speakers and wishing there were snacks, you’ll get to actually connect with people.

This is a full day designed around the thing that actually moves the needle: real conversations with real people.

(But you get to sit in a chair, instead of standing in the middle of a hallway between sessions!)

SEPTEMBER 12, 2026  |  ATLANTA, GA  |  LIMITED TO 30 SPOTS

You’ve left enough events thinking the best part was your lunch conversations. This is the event that’s built for that.

founding sponsors:

There’s no stage, and no slides. And no one standing at a podium while you politely try to stay awake.

Just 30 people, a handful of tables, and a full day designed to actually let you talk to each other.

Every session is structured so no one’s awkwardly standing around wondering what to do next, but the agenda exists to serve the conversation, not replace it.

You’ll move through the day in small groups, switching seats, switching topics, and walking away with the kind of clarity you usually only get from a really good lunch with your biz bestie.

The real agenda is the people in the room: what they’ve built, what they’re figuring out, what they’d tell you if you just had time to ask.

A full day of real connection, intentionally designed.

Spend a day with a room full of smart, experienced business owners, and actually have time to get to know them.

This event is open to anyone but most people in the room are business owners who’ve been doing this for 4-5+ years and make $100k-$300k.

community sponsors:

Arrival from 9-9:30 a.m.

Check in at 9, snag your nametag, and help yourself to snacks before we kick things off at 9:30. (And yes, you can grab coffee right across the street, too!)

Small group discussions

Topics you actually care about, chosen by you.

We’ll break into small groups for facilitated discussions on topics that matter to your business — visibility, marketing, clients, and more.

Before you get to Atlanta, you’ll fill out a quick questionnaire so we can shape the topics around what YOU in the room want to talk about.

Coffee and snack break (10:30 a.m.)

Snacks and water provided, sponsored by Jamie June. Coffee across the street.

We’ll keep snacks and water stocked throughout the day — think Goldfish, Pirate’s Booty, fig bars, candy. If you need a proper coffee fix, Foxtail Coffee is right across the street.

Open lunch break (11:30 a.m.)

Eat what you want, with whoever you want.

We’re in a great spot in Atlanta, with several options in easy walking distance. Nearby places:

  • Mister 01 Extraordinary Pizza
  • CT Reforma Taqueria
  • Zakia Modern Lebanese Restaurant
  • Chipotle
  • Scoville Hot Chicken
  • Rreal Tacos

Since people have dietary preferences and allergies, we’ve made it so you can pick what works for you. Lunch will be about an hour and a half.

Attendees will also have the chance to organize and list their own lunch meet-ups.

Mini mastermind sessions (1:30 p.m.)

You’ll break into groups of three. Each person gets 10 minutes to share a problem or idea — the other two dig in, ask questions, and brainstorm with you.

After 30 minutes, pods mix, and you do it again with a fresh group.

Coffee and snack break

Snacks and water provided, sponsored by Jamie June. Coffee across the street.

We’ll keep snacks and water stocked throughout the day — think Goldfish, Pirate’s Booty, fig bars, candy. If you need a proper coffee fix, Foxtail Coffee is right across the street.

Table topics (3 p.m.)

Drop into a topic table for some Q&A, pull up a chair wherever the energy is, or grab someone for a one-on-one. This one’s yours to use however you need it.

Wrap-up by 5 p.m.

We’ll wrap up around 4:30 and clear out by 5. But you’ll have a whole new group of people to grab dinner with, so make a plan and keep it going.

*Outside of start and end times, the timing of these are approximate.

The one thing AI can’t replicate is a real relationship. That’s what we’re here for.

You’re a good fit for this event if you:

  • Have been running an online business for a few years and want to grow it, but you’re not chasing 7 figures
  • Have been to enough events to know that the real value is in the room, not on the stage
  • Believe in building something better, not just bigger

AND... If you’ve been struggling to figure out how to show up online while the world feels like it’s on fire, you’re in the right place.

This is a room that welcomes business owners of all races, ethnicities, backgrounds, sexual orientations, and gender identities. We do not tolerate racism, sexism, or hate speech. We believe Black lives matter and LGBTQIA+ rights are human rights.

If you’re craving a room full of people who are trying to build something good and keep going even when the news cycle makes you want to log off forever, pull up a chair.

Meet Your Host

I’m Jess, and I’ve been running a small, intentional business since 2011.

And along the way, I learned something that nobody was really talking about: you don’t have to go bigger to go better. That’s the whole reason The Ordinary Business exists.

I’m bringing together 30 people, in person, to have the kind of honest conversations about business that you’re usually only lucky enough to have with a very good friend.

I’m not here to hype you up and send you home with a notebook full of ideas you’ll never use. I’m here because I genuinely believe that small, sustainable businesses deserve a seat at the table, and the right room can change everything.

I’d love for you to be in it.

FAQ

Is lunch included, or do I need to plan for that?

Snacks are provided all day, but the lunch hour is yours to use however you want… step out and grab food nearby, keep a conversation going, or just take a breather. Atlanta Tech Village is in the heart of Buckhead with plenty of options close by.

What’s there to do in Atlanta?

Well, The Reelies will be happening the day after our event 👀

We have a ton of festivals and pop-ups happening around the city that you might be able to check out.

Or, you can also hit up an Atlanta Braves game

What’s the refund or transfer policy?

All tickets are non-refundable, but they are transferable. If something comes up, just reach out and we’ll help you transfer your spot to someone else.

Am I a good fit for this event?

There’s no hard and fast rules about who can come to this event, but most people are:

  • Making $100k-$300k
  • Experienced business owners who’ve been in business 4-5+ years
  • Solopreneurs or those with tiny teams (and not looking to grow an agency)

Is the venue accessible? (ADA, elevator, etc.)

Atlanta Tech Village offers wheelchair-accessible entrances, parking, restrooms, and seating. Handicap parking is available near the second-floor entrance, and the Piedmont Road location is easy to get to.

What should I wear?

Come as you are! This isn’t a conference, so there’s no need to dust off your blazer. Most people will be in smart casual. Wear something you can think and talk in comfortably for a full day.

Will there be any speakers or presentations?

Nope, and that’s intentional. This day is designed around conversation, not content delivery. You won’t be sitting in rows listening to someone on a stage — you’ll be at a table actually talking to the people next to you.

What happens after I purchase my ticket?

You’ll get a confirmation email with all the details. You’ll be invited to a private Slack channel where you can connect with other attendees before September 12 — great for finding a hotel roommate or just getting a feel for who’ll be in the room.
